In the early 2000s when the eighth generation Mazda Protege was released, the automotive world saw many changes. With all three options, the vehicle was suitable for small families and single citizens too. Front and all-wheel drive was an option on sixth generation Mazda Proteges which was seen as a milestone for the Mazda corporation. When the sixth and seventh generation of the Mazda Protege was debuted, the vehicle was offered in a three-door hatchback, five-door fastback, and a four-door sedan. The Mazda Protege was and is still referred to as a small family car, but it was later replaced by the Mazda 4 which is still in production today. This vehicle was produced with family in mind, hence it’s other name. Between 19, the Mazda Corporation produced the Mazda Protege which has also been referred to as the Mazda Familia.
